Violence & Gore

moderate

Gory piranha attacks (we see them eating flesh). At least a dozen people are killed and at least two dozen are seen with gory gruesome wounds. Lots of blood forms in water, we see gruesome skin tears and cuts, various bites range from just outer skin to several muscles torn. In one scene we see piranhas going after a lady's breasts!! In another scene part of someone's face is gone and their eye is protruding. Another guy has his feet bit to the bone where we later see the grisly aftermath. Lots of scenes of piranhas eating people's legs and people getting eaten splash helplessly as pools of blood form, very gory. Three people get into a scuffle and one guy gets a minor hand injury, the other guy gets hit in the head pretty hard and we see bruises on his face and head later on. In another scene a lady and girl throw darts at a picture of a camp instructor. He later sees the picture and tears it down and rips it up when no one is looking. A lady smashes a toilet tank lid and uses it to knock a guard out. A boy limps because he has an arrow shot through him, but it turns out its just a gag as the camp leader takes the arrow gag toy off him.

Profanity

mild

Some mild profanity. 8 d--n, a few s-words, h--l, b----d. Slang terms for anatomy.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

mild

Some men drink alcohol. One of the main characters is supposedly an alcoholic. At the start of the film, an old guy buys him about 4-5 different types of booze; his favorite is the tequilla. Toward the start of the film, he's very grumpy and drinking a lot. Later on, it is revealed that he is an alcoholic.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

moderate

Rated R for horror violence, frightening images, and some nudity. The piranha attacks are very intense, including one that involves several young children. The camp leader is a bit of tough guy. The main character's daughter is afraid of going into the water and throw the piranha theme into the movie this makes things tense. She manages to sneak out of the water race when the piranhas come after the other campers but then gets a inflatable boat to try and rescue some.
