BBFC Ratings info: RESERVOIR DOGS is a 1992 US crime drama in which a bank heist goes wrong. Violence: Scenes include shootings resulting in bloody impact wounds and prolonged focus on the bloody aftermath of the violence. In one sequence, it is implied a man's ear is cut off. Although the cutting occurs off screen, there is subsequent sight of the torturer holding the man's ear before the victim's body is doused in petrol. There is strong language ('f**k', 'motherf**ker') throughout, as well as use of racist language ('nigger') and crude sex references.

The movie follows a gang of criminals before and after a robbery, the killings of cops and civilians are discussed but rarely shown. Other than some bloodless shooting, there is almost no onscreen violence. One of the characters is injured in the beginning of the film and retains the injury for the rest of the movie, he has blood on his shirt throughout the movie. A man shoots two cops in a car multiple times. Blood splatters on the windshield of the car. A cop is shot in the chest by one of the robbers (Mr. Pink). The movie doesn't contain a lot of gushing blood but the violence is realistic This scene lasts about 1 minute, but all we see is the victim getting cut above his eyebrow. His ear also gets cut off, but that is completely offscreen. The victim is then doused in gasoline and threatened to be burned alive Lots of bloody shootings with extended images of bloody wound detail. There is a scene where a man's ear is cut off off-screen but we see the severed ear after before the victim is lit on fire. A man threatens to burn a man alive but then gets shot. Blood spurts from his chest, his entire torso us coveted in blood, we later see him in a large puddle of blood At the end of the movie a man points a gun at another man and two more point guns at eachother. They then fire and all get shot but two survive. There is little blood on one man but a lot of blood on another. It is implied they both get shot offscreen. A man is shot in the abdomen and simultaneously a woman is shot is the stomach by the man who got shot. Mr. Brown is shot in the head and crashes his car, there is a bit of blood and Brown's brain trauma causes him to murmur in a disturbing manner. Nothing too horrific there is a scene where a man cuts another mans ear off offscreen we see the mans face covered in blood A man is shot in the stomach, and throughout the rest of the film he is shown with an extreme amount of blood pouring out of his stomach. His entire shirt is completely drenched with blood and he is seen groaning in pain, struggling to breath and gasping for air fearing that he's dying while his friends drive him in a big panic.
