In the beginning of the movie, there are a few remarks made by the Master Chief to one of his subordinates about the subordinates wife. Master Chief says, "Remember, one night stands only last one night, but syphilis lasts a lifetime." In a version of the film, the two love interests make love and heavy breathing is heard with brief nudity present. Not in theatrical edit**.

Several fist fights and Brashear is mistreated because of his race. A metal bar flies at a man's leg at very high veolcity smashing it very graphically practically severing it.

Frightening & Intense Scenes


While diving in the ocean, Brashear's air hose and support lines are caught by a passing submarine and he is dragged some distance, but he manages to get loose and is unharmed. However, upon returning to the ship, there is a shipborn accident that seriously injures him in the foot and he insists on having his leg amputated to attempt to return to duty with a prosthetic.
