Sex & Nudity
moderateTwo men are seen from behind in the shower, cleaning up after a fire. Both rear ends are clearly visible, as well as one of the men's pubic hair. A man lies with a woman in bed with one of her legs wraped around him and they passionately kiss. They continue to caress for several more seconds. Sex is implied. A man and a woman are seen kissing passionately on top of a fire truck. They cut to a different scene then they cut back to them and the man is naked and the woman has no pants on, only her shirt. She is on top of the man and is seen thrusting and moaning. A man finds a woman's bra inside of a fire truck.
Violence & Gore
moderateA brawl happens in a hospital. A dead man's body is seen with its head embedded into a car's windshield. Blood is shown. A man is electrocuted by an exposed outlet. The scar is shown later. A boy's father dies in a fire at the beginning. A man opens his house door and his house explodes. A man gets into a fight with a man who was dancing with his wife after insulting his brother. A montage shows a few fire victims with minimal bloody injuries. Fire burns everywhere and it quickly spreads. A theatre owner's burnt body is shown. Two men lift up a burnt body. One of them coughs over it. The body is shown in detail whilst the other two men analyse what happened. We see organs exposed lots of blood and peoples faces getting burned off. An imprisoned arsonist who likes to "burn little girls, old ladies and the world" is featured as a possible tie to the current fires being investigated. A dead body is removed from a building, but turns out to just be a mannequin. This causes a fireman to vomit through nerves. A firefighter gets pushed by the fire with the glass part of his helmet broken and the fire burns him with a close-up shot of his face getting burnt. He is sent to hospital. Brian blames Stephen for burning his firefighter teammate. Stephen punches Brian. From there, the two brothers fight. It doesn't last long. Donald and Brian gets attacked by robbers. Brian electrocutes the robber for a second and screams in pain. Donald comes but gets hit twice. Stephen falls and is injured. The injury is briefly shown when he is rescued.
Profanity
moderateSwearing throughout in a bonding context. Some uses of "shit". A few uses of "son-of-a-bitch". Frequent use of "fuck" at least 30 times. In one scene, a whole room of firefighters say the word.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking
mildOne man is seen smoking several times along with much of the rest of the cast. Mostly everyone drinks beer or wine. One man gets drunk.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
moderateDespite the firefighting action being fun, it's also intense and frightening. Two brothers argue many times. A frightened mother implies her baby is in a burning building. A frightened woman implied her child is in a burning building. The child is saved. Donald argues with Brian about the fire incident. A man opens a door and gets burned by the fire off-screen as the fire approaches him. A boss tells a young man to take the bin lid off and fire comes out of it. The fact that fire is killing people and burning their faces off is pretty scary. A fireman asks a prisoner if he (the convicted arsonist) still wants to "burn little girls and old ladies and the whole world", in manipulative mockery to the man who committed these years-old crimes at the prisoner's current parole hearing in order to block his parole attempt (they succeed at this). This movie is very intense. A firefighter gets his face burnt including a close-up shot of his face. Donald uses light fluid and burns a room which spreads to the ceiling while he educates Brian about what fire is about. The scene ends with Donald putting out the fire. Donald and Brian gets attacked by robbers. Gas pipes cause the fire to explode. They got out in time. Stephen and John fall together. John dies, but Stephen survives the fall. Stephen and Brian are in the middle of a burning building. As Stephen is in the ambulance, the beeper later makes a sound endlessly which means he is dead.
