BBFC Ratings info: After a young man's premonition of a deadly race-car crash helps saves the lives of his peers, Death sets out to collect those who evaded their end.THE FINAL DESTINATION is a horror film in which a group of young people escape unscathed in a massive accident during a car race, only for Death to hunt them down. Injury detail: The accident at a racing track includes scenes in which flaming engines and car parts land on people, wooden and metal spikes perforate heads and chests, heads are blown off, and bodies bisected or crushed by masonry. Subsequent victims are killed by eye spiking, wire slicing, nail gun, and escalator crushing. Sex: There is a sex scene, in which a topless woman rides a man. Language: There is some strong language ('f**k'). In one scene, a negatively presented racist man racially insults and prepares to lynch a black man. The racist language is clearly disapproved of, and the racist man is killed before he can murder the black man.

A man is sucked into the bottom of a swimming pool when it begins to drain; he becomes stuck to the drain opening and the suction increases, then blood shoot out of a pipe and onto the ground. An ambulance strikes a man; blood sprays onto the left side of the ambulance. A tow truck slips into gear and drives down a road; a man tries to get in to stop it, but is unable to. His foot is caught in the hook and chain attached to the back of the truck, he is dragged along the street, the chain catches fire and so does he; the truck explodes and the man's severed, flaming head lands on the ground close to another man who is watching. A woman falls onto stairs while trying to leave crowded bleachers, she is knocked down, then trampled; she rolls over, and a car's engine block sails through the air and slams into her chest. Large cement blocks collapse onto people (there is no blood). A rock is thrown from a lawn mower and strikes a woman in the eye; she falls on the ground. A woman falls on an escalator and is pulled toward its gears; a man tries to hold onto her, but her leg is caught and she is pulled in. A movie theatre explodes, causing a piece of wood to impale a woman's chest. A Cowboy in a hospital bed tries to crawl out of his room when the ceiling begins to leak; he is crushed when a bathtub falls through the ceiling. A nail gun fires nails at a man's arm, pinning it to a wall. A scaffolding collapses onto a road causing a truck to swerve and drive through a cafe window and x-ray images of three people dying are shown. A woman in her car gets stuck when a car wash mechanism is jammed and nearly drowns; the car's sunroof opens, an overhead water pipe breaks and pours water into the car, the woman struggles to get up through the sunroof, the hatch begins to close while her head is still out and it presses against her throat (she is rescued from the car). A man is found hanging from a rope as he tries to commit suicide; he gags and twitches, but the rope breaks (he is ok).
