They kiss passionately while sitting , and this continues when they are lying on top of each other on the floor (clothed and mostly offscreen).

The movie's plot is pretty dark and though it has comedic moments, the movie is pretty sad and depressing. There is a scene where a main character commits suicide with his father's gun. It is not shown, only implied, but the emotional tension during and after the scene is high. The ending scene (Keating's farewell) is very emotional.
